Figure out the length that you want your rug to be. After you have figured out the roll rugs length, then you can roll out the netting length that you need.

Then start cutting the cotton piping into pieces. These should be about four inches long each. You will want them to be of the same length. So that upon completion, the rugs will look relatively even along with some variations so that you will have a textured feel that will make it seem that it is handmade.
